Privacy Policy

Chart of Youis operated by Studija Tvarka, MB (company code 306179246, VAT LT100018803612), Eduardo André g. 14-5, LT-02232 Vilnius, Lithuania, European Union (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for personal data processed through chartofyou.com.

We collect only what is necessary to create your report:

• Contact data — your email address and the first name you provide, used to personalize and deliver your report.
• Birth details — your date, time (if known), and place of birth, and the resolved coordinates and timezone for that place. These are used to calculate your natal chart.
• Quiz answers — the selections you make during the quiz about yourself and the areas of life you want your report to focus on.
• Your report — the personalized birth-chart report generated for you.
• Payment data — billing details are handled directly by Stripe. We do not store your card number or full payment credentials.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and standard server logs, used for security and abuse prevention.

We do not require you to create an account or a password to use Chart of You.

We use your data to:

• Calculate your natal chart from your birth details.
• Generate your personalized report based on your chart and quiz answers.
• Process your payment and unlock your report.
• Send transactional emails (your purchase receipt and a link to your report).
• Respond to your support requests.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with our legal obligations.

Lawful basis (GDPR): Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)), compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)), and our legitimate interests in operating a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers necessary to run the service:

• Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention. Stripe may collect personal data, including via cookies and similar technologies, such as transactional data and identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe is an independent data controller for the data it collects directly. Read Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI — your natal chart placements and quiz answers are sent to OpenAI solely to write the prose of your report. We do not send your raw birth date or time for this purpose beyond what is needed to compute the chart. Read OpenAI’s Privacy Policy.
• Email provider — we send transactional emails through Google Workspace (Gmail). Read Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Hosting and infrastructure — providers that host our application and database and store your data securely on our behalf.

All providers acting on our behalf are bound by data processing agreements and must handle your data only as instructed.

Some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission — in accordance with GDPR Chapter V.

We retain your quiz submission, birth details, and generated report so that you can access your report after purchase and so we can provide support. Transaction and financial records are retained for up to 7 years to comply with Lithuanian and EU accounting obligations.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see “Your rights” below), and we will do so except where we are required by law to keep certain records.

We use only strictly necessary cookies — those required to maintain your session as you move through the quiz and checkout. These are always active and do not require your consent. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

Our payment processor, Stripe, sets its own cookies on pages that load Stripe’s checkout scripts, used by Stripe for fraud detection and checkout analytics. You can learn more in Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

As an EU/EEA resident you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure— request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@chartofyou.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Lithuanian supervisory authority: State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI).

Chart of You is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post a prominent notice on the site before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
